2020 Junior Golf Camp - Cancelled (Registrations may be credited and carried over to the 2021 camp)
Thank you for your ongoing support and patronage of our popular summer youth golf camp, and for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time. We hope you are staying safe and healthy during this pandemic.
Just like all of you, we have been monitoring the stay at home order and social distancing guidelines since the beginning, specifically regarding the impact it has on our instruction programs at Sugar Creek.
The success of our Jr. Golf Camp that has created an annual sell out to maximum participation, is based on the ideal format. One which involves a combination of instruction, golf course experience and - most importantly - an environment where friends can play with friends, and meet new friends!
We have come to realize that any deviation or modification to that format, compromises the program which you have all come to trust us with your kids every year!
It is extremely devestating and unimaginable to have to cancel the camp, as it completely goes against our mission of providing outstanding programs to our patrons. Unfortunately, the ongoing social distancing guidelines, gathering limits, and cleaning/disinfecting guidelines significantly impacts our ability to safely offer the camp at any capacity.
As we greatly look forward to the return of the summer youth golf camp next season, we want to extend an opportunity for you to carry over your current registration as a full credit toward the 2021 camp! Doing this will ensure that you are guaranteed your position in the 2021 camp without any need to re-register next February when open registration becomes available to all.
In consideration for any current 13-year old participants, the age group will be extended to 14-year olds for 2021.
Information regarding registration refunds will be posted soon, we appreciate your patience during these unprecedented and challenging times!
The Junior Golf Camp runs six weeks (plus a holiday off-week during Fourth of July). Each student attends one day a week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday - for six weeks. They will participate in a pre-round instructional clinic followed by 3, 6, or 9 holes of on-course experience (depending on their age). This program (ages 6-13) is designed to provide both instructional and golf course experience to all youth interested in golf - regardless of previous experience. The program is supervised and overseen by professional instructors, encouraging everyone to enjoy the game of golf while learning proper ettiquette, behavior and respect for the golf course and fellow participants. Both high school and college counselors will be assisting in all aspects of instruction and on-course experience - many of whom are former program graduates and familiar faces! All participants will have time for a snack/lunch before going on the golf course. Parents can prepare a snack to bring or are encouraged to set up a personal account for your child to utilize for lunch at the Sugar Creek grill! All campers will be off the course and ready for pick up at 2:30 p.m.! Requisite: All participants must have their own equipment

High School Golf Team - Prep School - This program is scheduled to go on time following social distancing and Covid-19 guidelines!
This popular program is geared toward preparing players for their high school golf teams. The schedule is designed for the student to establish a routine throughout the summer which leads up to the beginning of high school golf team tryouts in early August. This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills and become familiar with Sugar Creek Golf Course – the home course for both Willowbrook Boys and York Girls golf teams.
The high school golf season begins in early August and ends the first week in October. Matches are typically 9 holes, mostly played on weekdays after school. The District and Regional tournaments are 18-hole competitions with the State Finals being a 36-hole event.
Classes will be held in the following format for Incoming Freshman Boys & Girls:
- Six group clinics (driving range and short game stations) - 1 1/2 total hours each week
